A British schoolteacher has been suspended after making his pupils do push-ups as a punishment for arriving late to class, Britain’s main teaching union said on Thursday.
Man, in my HS days not so long ago (under 10 years), we’d be lucky to get push-ups for being late! We usually got 1/2 mile around the track.
The article says something about political correctness ‘gone mad’. No doubt. That’s pretty ridiculous. Push-ups is hardly in line with corporal punishment. I was grateful my Gym Teachers weren’t easy on me – they were the only ones, and probably the only reason I got any excercise those few years.
Abuse is a goddamn scourge on humanity.
I’m glad to hear it because we had a teacher that did that to us kids too but it took 10 ****ing years before the school sacked his ****ing ass. Abuse is permanently detrimental to health. I’m still ****ed about about it.
