Thanks for your thoughts, Noisy. Despite the jest in which I approached the topic, I have to say it is very difficult knowing when to act. In simpler times, it was much easier to discern a person in need. Now our world is so convoluted, there really is no telling.

I just stumbled on your website & I SO LOVE IT! A surprisingly satisfying thought provoking meal served with a dollop of whimsy. Elegant. Tasty. Simple. Substantial.
BOOKMARKED - OH YEH!

Lori. My oh my. Our humanity and the dynamic nature of compassion in an ocean of those in need of it and those who will exploit it.

One must consider their compassionate response. As humans we manifest a social nature whilst independently seeking to self-optimize. Dynamic inter-related behaviors often apposing but fundamental to our success as a species.

I ponder genuine need and those who exploit others. The notion that if you gave to all whom asked you might well find a permanent queue at your front door - Lori at front. Yet we must give of ourselves. Maybe one has to consider motive and circumstance knowing they know very little about the person asking. You might go with your intuition. You do your best - hopefully.

I often initiate kindness. It addresses a feeling of helplessness I get when I'm approached - unsolicited like. When I enact my gesture, to another whom I feel to be in need, I always experience a wonderful warmth in the exchange. Delightful.

I like you Mr and Mrs Super.com

I bet this summer you'll be taking a walk around the block and find out that Lori is your neighbor down the street and has been reading your website and spying on your home ever since you double rejected her.
