This morning as I was walking through my professional office building, I noticed a young woman walking through with a large and noticeable tattoo on her arm. Upon a closer inspection I noticed what appeared to be the most interesting tattoo I’ve ever seen in passing.
I’d also like to point out that I work in a professional office building. In a very conservative State in the Union. So while I myself am no stranger to tattoos, I was definitely surprised when I saw this one!
While some people may consider it gutsy, I asked the young lady if I could take a picture of her tattoo. More specifically the conversation went like this:
Me: Excuse me miss!
Her: <Incredibly weird “why are you talking to me” look>
Me: that is the most awesome Tattoo I have ever seen. Would you mind if I took a picture with my phone?
Her: Sure.
Me: Thanks!

Caution:I wouldn’t let my kids see this tattoo if I could help it! With that being said, I still saw it in my office building.
Personally, I’m not sure what would possess a person to get any kind of tattoo. At all. Part of that is my own personal life-long philosophy; some of it probably has to do with my beliefs; Mostly my thoughts revolve around: ”What the heck is that thing and why would you want it on your arm?!?!”.

Yeah….in my world that's a pretty conservative tattoo….Bettie Page is such an icon that her face and likeness is one of the most common sources of inspiration for tattoos. That pose is something she did in the 50's and the tattoo artist simply put devil horns, boots and a tail on her…nice work!

Heh…the above commenter is kinda correct. I live in Nebraska, which is also one of the most conservative states in the US, and tattoos (in general) aren’t that rare of a thing to see, even on exposed skin. And the tattoo you took a picture of is one of those “dime-a-dozen” types…I’ve seen dozens of variations of that work, and certainly much more…umm…”liberal” pieces than that. But aside from the risque or seemingly-offensive tattoos, I see dozens every day, in all areas of the city, from all walks of life. Your post actually comes across as a little naive (no offense intended), because tattoos haven’t had the social stigma you’re eluding for decades now.

Your response is fair enough, but like I said, what was surprising is that this kind of tattoo was readily seen in a professional office environment. This is a high priced building in one of the nicest corporate complexes in the State. it was surprising to see 10" Tattoo Nudity when everyone else is in a tie.
That's the craziest you've seen (in person)?
There's worse… I really don't even think this one is too bad.
